Diploma in Radio Imaging Technology is a two year diploma program which aims towards a basic understanding of various aspects of radio diagnostic technology and medical imaging techniques. Students will get through training about the use of radiographic equipment, learn how to position patients to get the best images and learn to critique images. Students will develop knowledge and skills such as anatomy and physiology, examination techniques, patient care, professionalism, radiation safety and protection and x-ray equipment. Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology is a twelfth level Diploma Medical Lab course. Medical Imaging Technology is a process of creating visual images of the interior of a body for clinical analysis and medical purposes of recognizes diseases. The course provides students with a broad knowledge in biophysical and health sciences to enable them to acquire theory and practical know-how in handling radio imaging equipment and procedures.
